June 24-26, 2009, The Alliance for AG Higher Education team hosted its fifth AG Faculty Seminar at Evangel University (Springfield, Missouri). Nearly 200 faculty members and administrators from 17 of the 19 endorsed Assemblies of God (AG) colleges and universities met together for a time of sharing, growth and fellowship. The theme of this year’s conference was “Common Challenges of the 21st Century,” and the academic disciplines represented were Behavioral Sciences, Communications, Fine Arts, Humanities, Math, Science and Social Sciences.

AGTrust Announces Riggs Scholarship Recipients

The Assemblies of God Trust and The Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2009-2010 AG Trust Scholarships. Under the leadership of General Superintendent George O. Wood and Assistant General Superintendent Alton Garrison, AGTrust seeks to strategically invest in our next generation of leaders. Therefore, this fund awards one male and one female high school senior the General Superintendent's Scholarship, worth up to $30,000 over a four year period. In addition, the eight semi-finalists are awarded the other Riggs Scholarships, worth $5,000 each.

Evangel PBL team wins three 1st Place awards at National Leadership Conference

Eleven Evangel University students attended the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif., June 20-23, and they came home with more awards than any Evangel PBL team has ever earned at a national conference.

CBC's Hanson recipient of NCCAA Sports Ministries Award

Central Bible College's Athletic Director Kirk Hanson, was awarded the 2009 National Christian College Athletic Association's Sports Ministries Award on June 4, 2009. The award was given in recognition of CBC teams' outstanding commitment to the integration of athletics and ministry. CBC was one of two colleges in the NCCAA to receive the award this year.

Northwest University Adds New Campus
