In June 2017, the Royal Rangers national team provided a booth at the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ to introduce the Royal Rangers program to the pastors and church leaders. This was the second time Royal Rangers hosted a booth at this event and our presence there was well received.

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is the largest protestant denomination in the United States with over 15 million members and over 46,000 churches nationwide. The SBC Annual Meeting is the national gathering of pastors, church representatives, and ministry leaders where church business is conducted, resources and ministry ideas are introduced, and leaders are inspired to continue the work of the ministry in their areas of responsibility.

The Southern Baptists have long placed significant emphasis on ministry to children and youth, and the SBC has long had significant membership in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as a boys' outreach program. However, due to recent changes in the membership standards adopted by the BSA, many Baptist churches are now finding the moral standards of the program to no longer be in alignment with the Biblical standards Baptist churches hold dear; therefore, they are looking for an alternative program for their boys.

The Royal Rangers program is a viable ministry option available to any evangelical church seeking to provide an activity-based ministry to boys. Royal Rangers provides adequate flexibility to enable churches of nearly any size or denominational background to conduct an effective boys' ministry, and Southern Baptist churches are increasingly taking an interest in the program.

It is our hope that the ministry of Royal Rangers will enable churches from many denominational backgrounds to develop the next generation of boys into true biblical, Christlike manhood.
