When Steve Schultz, our former national training coordinator, responded to God's leading to become a missionary with Royal Rangers International, he modeled for us the Scripture that says, "Many are a man's plans but God directs his steps." That also began a process of seeking who it was that God was preparing to take his place. After an extensive process of evaluating what was necessary in this role to keep moving Rangers forward, talking with leaders across the nation, looking at several candidates, and asking God to lead us to the right person, we are thrilled that the search is over.
David Morrison has agreed to assume the position of national training coordinator, effective immediately. As a national training aide, David is known by many across the nation. In August 1994, David began his commitment to Royal Rangers as a commander at his local church, Radiant Life in Dublin, OH. Since that time, he has held multiple leadership positions at the district and regional levels with his most recent role being a national training aide. David understands the importance of mentoring, having raised all four of his sons in Royal Rangers. After nearly twenty-three years, David remains passionate about what Royal Rangers advocates and how it is such a vital part to the post-modern church.
Beside his extensive knowledge of Royal Rangers and our current training, David brings a unique skill set to this position. As a trained and registered architect, David ran his own architectural firm in central Ohio for fifteen years. He most recently spent eleven years as the VP of Architecture with a large architectural firm that provided services for multi-unit national account retail clients. David's ability to track multiple projects, visualize structural process, and manage multi-faceted elements to come to a successful and timely completion will be tremendous asset.
He has been married to his lovely wife, Christine (Chris for short), since July 1983. Together, they raised six children-four sons and two daughters. They also have six grandchildren. David is working from Ohio until LEAD17 when he will join us in the office. Please pray for smooth transition for him and his family.
