Assistant/Associate/Professor of Marketing


Job Description: Vanguard University seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track term contract position effective August 2017, for assistant/associate/full professor position in the area of Marketing. Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. The applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability, commitment to scholarship, and a commitment to working with and encouraging diversity. Duties include: • Teach undergraduate coursework in marketing and other courses that they are qualified to teach. • Transfer knowledge including theory, practical skills, methods and techniques in his/her related field. • Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and thinking. • Participate in general faculty roles in areas including advising and committee service. • Participate in the building of an innovative Christian university. • Take part in department and university decision-making and governance. • Exercise academic leadership in the design and development of curricula.

Job Qualifications & Requirements: • Preferably, candidates should have an earned doctorate (or be in the final stages of his/her dissertation) in marketing or related discipline. • Documented high level of teaching competencies, minimum two years of undergraduate level teaching experience, 5+ years industry experience preferred. • Demonstrated excellence in engaging and supporting all students in the learning process. • Understanding of and appreciation for a Christian worldview and experience of and commitment to the spiritual development of students through the integration of faith and learning. • Strong record of teamwork, collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills. • Successful experience of working in multicultural educational contexts. • Knowledge of and experience with online learning preferred.
