Job Description: Vanguard University announces a full-time faculty position for an Assistant, Associate or Professor of Clinical Psychology. This position starts August 2017. Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. The applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability, commitment to scholarship, and a commitment to working with and encouraging diversity. Duties include: • Teach core theoretical and clinical courses in the MS in Clinical Psychology program. • Advise and mentor graduate students in their academic, clinical and professional development. • Participate in activities and committees in the graduate program and the university. • Collaborate with the graduate faculty regarding curriculum implementation, student retention and support, and continuous program improvement. • Transfer knowledge including theory, practical skills, methods and techniques in his/her related field. • Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and thinking.

Job Qualifications & Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • A doctorate in Clinical Psychology. • Licensed therapist in the state of California. • Successful graduate level teaching. • Post licensure clinical experience. • Ongoing development and accomplishment as an educator. • Diversity training and experience. • Understanding of and appreciation for a Christian worldview and experience of and commitment to the spiritual development of students through the integration of faith and learning. • Teamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
