The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice is a degree completion program that prepares graduates for a wide array of criminal justice opportunities. The newly established degree program will help students advance their careers as law enforcement officers, correctional officers, paralegals, criminologists, firefighters and EMTs.
The fully online degree program is designed for experienced individuals who already have some college experience but did not have the opportunity to complete their degree. The courses are highly specialized and are taught by subject matter experts in the criminal justice field.
Program courses include Police Administration, Criminal Procedure I and II, Victimology, Juvenile Justice, Crisis Management, Ethics in Criminal Justice and nine additional courses. In addition, potential credits may be awarded for prior college, military and police academy training.
A Chromebook is provided to students as part of tuition to be used for all aspects of the program, including accessing lectures and conducting research. All electronic textbook material is also included in the tuition and can be accessed via the Chromebook.
Most students will be able to finish their degrees in less than two years, depending on a number of factors.
