A team of three brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma, will make their debut on American Bible Challenge on Game Show Network this week. The brothers - Daniel, Joshua and Jesse Wagner - are Assemblies of God Bible Quiz Nationals champions, having won the Bible Quiz National title in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012 as part of First Assembly of God, Owasso, Oklahoma.
Going by the team name of Wagner Warriors, the brothers will vie for $140,000 on the game show to benefit their family's international ministry - Wagner Ministries, International - which shares the love of Christ as it brings food, clothing and shelter to people in some of the poorest places in the world.
The Wagner brothers will be entering the competition on Thursday, May 2, at 8 p.m. (Central).
American Bible Challenge, hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, is a one-hour game show in which contestants compete based on their knowledge of the Bible. The tournament starts with 18 three-person teams, with three teams competing each week. The winning teams from the first six episodes play in two semifinal games, with one team being named champions during the final round.
"The Wagner brothers not only give great performances on this show," says Foxworthy in a release, "they are doing wonderful ministry work throughout the world."
