Every year on the second Sunday in December, Assemblies of God churches and individuals across the nation partner with Assemblies of God Bible Alliance to provide the Fire Bible, a Pentecostal study Bible, for overseas pastors and laypersons in one or more languages.
This year's Bible Sunday theme is "Struck Down, But Not Destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8,9). The 2012 Bible Sunday goal is to raise enough funds to provide the Fire Bible in four languages for countries where Christians face persecution due to their faith: Khmer Fire Bible for Cambodia, Lao Fire Bible for Laos, Vietnamese Fire Bible for Vietnam, and a Fire Bible in a sensitive country.
Every year, a number of Christians are martyred because of their witness, yet their contributions to the Church remain and help it to grow.
The Fire Bible, now in 39 language editions, is the most widely translated and distributed study Bible ever produced.
