"No one can be truly filled with God's Spirit and not
be interested in the cause of Missions." This bold claim, made by Robert
E. McAlister (1880-1953), an early leader in the Pentecostal Assemblies of
Canada, underscored the importance of missions in the early Pentecostal
In an article published 75 years ago in the "Pentecostal Evangel," McAlister wrote that missions is "our responsibility as a Pentecostal people." He encouraged local congregations to support missions, insisting that it is "an integral part of God's program for the church."
