Forty-three students participated in Global University's 2012 commencement ceremony, representing 622 graduates from six continents receiving diplomas/degrees this year.

Global University, an accredited distance education university of the Assemblies of God, celebrated its tenth annual commencement ceremony on Friday, June 29, at James River Assembly in Ozark, Missouri. The university awarded Master of Arts, Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Arts degrees as well as diplomas and certificates.

Forty-three students who completed a diploma/degree between May 1, 2011, and April 30, 2012, participated in the commencement ceremony. These students represented the 622 total graduates, from six continents, who received their diplomas/degrees from Global University this year.

"We are extremely blessed to see the impact of our ministry outreach around the country and the world, with God's help, right here in Springfield, Missouri," says Gary L. Seevers Jr., president of Global University.

Global University's graduate's breakdown is as follows: 303 earned diplomas or certificates from Berean School of the Bible, 291 are graduates from the Undergraduate School of Bible and Theology and 28 are graduates from the Graduate School of Theology.

"The majority of Global University's students are people who, for a variety of reasons, cannot or will not attend a traditional resident program," says John (Jack) Nill, provost of Global University. "Some of these graduates have poignant stories of perseverance through adversity and financial struggles, and God has used their studies to prepare them for positions of ministry in various parts of the world. It is an honor to be part of an organization like Global University that helps students fulfill their dreams."
