Evangel to Graduate Record Class

Evangel University, Springfield, Missouri, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its first commencement with the largest graduating class in Evangel's history.

 

Four-hundred-ninety-five graduates will be participating in the ceremony, which will be held in the James River Assembly of God auditorium, in Ozark, Missouri, at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 1.

 

Members of the Class of 1959 have been invited to attend as honored guests, and two of those graduates will be the commencement speakers.

 

Dr. Frieda L. Gehlen will be speaking on "Things I Wish I Had Known 50 Years Ago," and Dr. Del Nimmo will be giving "Advice to the Class of 2009 from the Class of 1959."

 

The following degrees will be awarded: 3 Master of Arts, 19 Master of Education, 11 Master of Organizational Leadership, 20 Master of Science, 6 Associate of Arts, 78 Bachelor of Arts, 109 Bachelor of Business Administration, 1 Bachelor of Fine Arts, 11 Bachelor of Music, 226 Bachelor of Science and 11 Bachelor of Social Work.
